A connector who enjoys making successful overnight matches between our private host families and our guests, status holders who are linked to the Flevoland region. Status holders are refugees with a residence permit, we call them guests. The overnight stay ensures that both guest and host family learn from each other in an accessible way. The guest gets a unique insight into Dutch culture and the opportunity to master the language and customs. The host family in turn learns a lot about the culture of the guest and almost all host families experience this period as an enrichment. The best thing is if this happens in the municipality where the guest will eventually be assigned a home, the so-called Koppelgemeente. In this way we give status holders a good start in their new region! As a matchmaker you interview our guests at the AZC or elsewhere and our host families at their home. Together with the guest you will meet the host family at home if you estimate that this can be a successful match. In addition, the matchmaker follows and guides the refugee and the host family during the entire stay. The Takecarebnb office will assist you as a volunteer with advice and support. We also offer comprehensive humanitarian aid internationally to people in need, who are vulnerable or victims of a natural disaster or crisis. The Emergency Response Team responds to accidents and calamities and supports ambulance personnel and other medical professionals. In carrying out their tasks, the emergency response team works in an organized context and is managed by a team leader. For the Flevoland district we are looking for an emergency response team member (volunteer) 6-8 hours p/wk As an emergency response team volunteer, you are part of one of the Red Cross emergency response teams. You and the team support the regional ambulance service with large-scale medical assistance at First Aid (Basic Life Support) level. You care for so-called T3 victims. These are (slightly) injured victims who are still able to walk. What are you going to do? • You will perform First Aid procedures at BLS level both independently and as part of a team; • You will also perform victim monitoring (ABCDE); • You transfer victim information (SBAR); • You identify and refer with regard to injuries and/or conditions for which nurses or other medical professionals must be consulted (in accordance with RTS); • You work - in an organized context - together with healthcare professionals (in the T3-V); • You are involved in setting up and facilitating a T3 collection and care point and managing the materials; • You maintain knowledge and ability to work with the materials in the emergency vehicle; • You ensure a safe and hygienic working environment; • You offer a listening ear, attention, recognition, support and comfort; • You carry out administrative actions such as victim registration.
